I&#039;ve often said, Cedric, that successful freelancers don&#039;t wait for opportunity to knock - they go out on their own, find opportunity, and wrestle him to the ground until he relents.

That being said, you&#039;re right. There is no better time to start a small business than right now. It&#039;s what makes the economy run, and there are plenty of opportunities. 

This is especially true for the freelancer. I have clients all over the world, and my business has barely noticed this little bump in the road. My dear friend who works in the housing appraisal industry isn&#039;t so fortunate, because his business is tied to a local market.</description>
